This dungeon requires no keys, but is pretty hard. This located relatively close to Valek in the Upper Firefields.
Again this spot is very, very delicate and requires player adjustment.įirst you have to find the dungeon, Valek's Challenge. After all the monsters de-aggro, inch forward until you aggro the boss. When you start the challenge, immediately turn around and run towards the respawn point.
Note: Firezilla drops the helmet fragments not the armor and cape fragments like the challenge saysĪ solo challenge that you can easily cheat: When Firezilla respawns, you will be out of it's aggro range, so you either have to leave your spot or use mage to regain aggro. The lazy way is to use mage and let Firezilla respawn. The fast way is to probably use rogue and reset the challenge every time. There are two ways to do it, the fast way and the lazy way. This means that you can just stay in the challenge without moving an inch. The weird thing about this challenge is that Firezilla respawns every 3 minutes (if someone wants to double check the respawn time that'd be great). The spot is rather delicate, meaning that if you go just a little too far back, the monster will de-aggro and heal. Once you find yourself in about the spot in the picture, back up until Firezilla can't hit you anymore. If you know where the return spot for the challenge is, go past there and jump on the rocks behind it. It says you need a 5+ party, but you can solo it pretty easily with the "cheat spot" Keep up the War Cry buff and only use Vorpal Strike to conserve mana. For the Burning Man, I beat it without pots using warrior. I would recommend killing the molten dead one by one, because they are rather difficult to defeat. And Wave 3 has the boss, the Burning Man.
These are basically skeletons with burning affects (effects?). This challenge is a solo event and involves 3 waves of monsters that you will have to kill. For now here's a guide to each of the challenges: The dungeon to farm is Valek's challenge, I will get more into that later. The 3 bosses are the Burning Man, Firezilla, and the Drak-imperor. The 3 challenges involve you killing a boss. They are located on floating islands with big climbable chains attaching them to the mainland. Lower Firefield is a great place to farm (fire globs drop obsidian ingots) I prefer farming Steelfang, but use whatever works best for you. The Scale Slayer (weapon) is completely optional in my opinion, because the Ornate Nightlocke weapons (the upgraded version of the Shadowed Nightlocke weapons) are better. You need to be at least level 16 to enter the challenges, and I would recommend trying these when you have solid gear and level 17. Crafting this armor takes a lot of gold and obsidian.
